Admissions
We are so glad that you are considering admissions to Ambleside School of Fredericksburg.
The first step in the admissions process is a school tour with the Head of School and Director of Admissions. While you are here, you will learn about Ambleside’s philosophy and method of education. You will tour the school, observe in classrooms, see examples of student work and have the opportunity to talk through any questions you may have. We ask that children remain at home for the first visit. Applicant students will be welcomed to the school at a later date for an assessment and/or observation day.

2024 Admissions Timeline
Please note that our admissions process typically takes 2-4 weeks.
February 12th
Enrollment begins for pre-registered students.
February 19th
Open enrollment begins.
February Through April
Observation days, entrance assessments and family interviews take place.
July 31st
Enrollment closes. (Please note that if the admissions process has not started by July 12th, 2024 a start date of the first day of school cannot be guaranteed.)
September
School tours begin and pre-registration opens for the 2025/2026 school year.
Admission Fees
The following fees are due upon submission of application.
Application Fee: $100 per new family. One-time fee, non-refundable.
Assessment Fee: $50 per new student. One-time fee, non-refundable.
