For Ambleside Families

This morning we heard Daniel Hofmann, Youth Minister at HGLC, sharing a passage in the Gospel of Mark. He also relayed his lifelong obsession with Peter Pan, and explained how his childhood love of this story now reminds him about our relationship with our Heavenly Father. We are God's children, but as we grow older, the stresses, fears, and anxieties of our lives get in the way of our "Neverland" with God. Let us this week remember to have the heart of a child. We always have a "Neverland" in our relationship with God. Come to Him. Let go of fears. Rest in the wonder, comfort, joy, grace and love of our Heavenly Father.

Mark 10:13-16 And they were bringing children to Him so that He might touch them; and the disciples rebuked them. But when Jesus saw this, He was indignant and said to them, "Permit the children to come to Me; do not hinder them; for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it at all." And he took them in His arms and began blessing them, laying his hands upon them.
