Formative Art Instruction

Ambleside alumna and current teacher, Emily Bowyer, penned the address below for an art event hosted by Ambleside last October. Her remarks remind us of the formative nature of the study of art and why it must never be classified as an area of study reserved only for a few.


"...we discover that when we offer our students a relationship with the great artists of the past and present, they are more inspired to pursue excellence in their own artistic endeavors and to learn more about what it means to live, to be fully human."
